What’s Coming to Netflix This Week: October 30th to November 5th, 2023

Over 60 new movies, series and games are coming to Netflix US this week.

Welcome to a sneak peek at what promises to be one of the most exciting release lineups in years, if not ever, on Netflix this coming week. Now let’s explore all of the upcoming films and television shows.

Why am I so busy this week? The fact that we’re entering a new month and really getting into the swing of the autumn 2023 lineup in the lead-up to Christmas, along with a handful of the Sony films that are coming on Netflix, help to partially explain it.

As usual, let’s start by discussing three of the titles we are most looking forward to this week before delving into the complete preliminary list:

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Coming to Netflix: Tuesday

This summer blockbuster probably checks most, if not all, of the following boxes for a lot of people:

The greatest Spider-Man film ever made

The greatest comic book adaptation ever

The greatest animated film ever made

Whatever position you take on those three, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is without a doubt one of the finest films of the year, and it will be available on Netflix for 18 months as a result of the previously stated Sony first window arrangement.

All The Light We Cannot See (Limited Series)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

This week, Shawn Levy—best known for his work on Netflix’s Stranger Things series—will launch a major novel adaption series on the streaming service. Netflix has been actively pushing the show in an effort to have it ready for awards season the following year.

There are a few reviews available because it made its debut at film festivals recently. Even though the adaptation was “simplified,” Beatrice Shahzad of DiscussingFilm found it to be “still powerful,” highlighting the performances of the film’s well-known cast members in particular.

BLUE EYE SAMURAI (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

It’s no secret that I love Netflix for its fantastic animation, and this week marks the release of one of my most eagerly awaited programs in a long time. This new series, which is set in Edo-period Japan and stars Michael Green (best known for Blade Runner 2049) and Amber Noizumi, centers on “a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge.”

Based on the teasers and teases we’ve seen so far, the series appears to be a sure thing, with voices for the title coming from people like Darren Barnet, Brenda Song, Randall Park, and Maya Erskine.
